I listened to this album continuously throughout the year, and though it was actually released in 2007, I’d still say it’s one of my favorite albums this year.

    I liked copeland’s new one, but there was so much more interesting stuff. any local stuff I liked was like an EP… nothing monumental.

    Bon Iver and MGMT didn’t have much of an impact until 2008 really. Though both Oracular Spectacular and For Emma, Forever Ago were self released by the artists, the second round of releases were much more significant in making these albums top-notch material in 2008.
