New Emery Webisodes

The Greer natives and Winthrop alums have a new album coming out June 2nd entitled “In Shallow Seas We Sail.”  In promotion for the album and their upcoming tours Toby has made these funny webisodes.  After their last album came out to mixed reviews, they have been pretty open about the criticism they received and how it affected them.  Their last EP was solid so hopefully this album will keep along those lines.  Honestly the first single “Cutthroat Collapse” has a little too much screaming for me.

Did you know that Indie Grits filmmakers Ronnie Gunter and Hayne Griffin recorded the Emery documentary that came with the The Deluxe version of Emery’s second album “The Question”?

Check out Solid Country Gold at the Indie Grits festival on Saturday at 4pm.  Emery guitarist Matt Carter and singer/guitarist Devin Shelton are both in the film.
