Dylan Sneed Makes South Carolina Home

8 PM Cafe Strudel

West Columbia, SC

The same day that The City Paper publishes an article gushing about Cafe Strudel, Dylan Sneed kicks off a string of Southeastern tour dates there at 8 PM.

Dylan is a very talented singer songwriter that we were lucky to have snagged from Texas (even if he is barely ever in Hartsville.)  Dylan’s finger-picking folk country style is filled with personality, showing glimpses of humor and charm mixed with serious relationship coming of age songs.

We were first introduced to Dylan about a year ago at Haley Shaw’s farewell to South Carolina show at New Brookland Tavern.  He really caught our attention with his “stage patter,”  that he apparently needed to work on according to his own story.  I ended up talking to Dylan for a good bit after the show and buying all of his CD’s.  Dylan Sneed doesn’t exactly play drinking music, but that night for me he did.  Maybe I was drowning myself in Benchmark because it was Haley Shaw’s last SC show for a good while…I don’t really remember, so it was a good thing I had my video camera.
