A Look Inside The Mill
Sarah Kobos and I took a stroll through The Mill, the brand new practice facility in Irmo a couple of weeks ago, and we were nothing but impressed. The practice rooms have the feel of a recording studio, each room pre-equipped with a PA system and each room sound proofed.
As you can tell from the pictures above, The Mill is much nicer than The Sheds. It has a totally different atmosphere that is much more conducive for bands to get down to practice and being productive. The rooms are rented by the hour and bands are allowed to rent storage lockers to store their equipment if needed. They have two different sized studios, one that includes a drum riser and would fit 5 musicians comfortably and another that is about the size of a bedroom and would be perfect for a 4 piece or 5 with a squeeze.
They are having another drop in Friday, January 8th for interested bands and local music lovers to go check it out for themselves.
