Youngster Live at Papa Jazz

Youngster Live at Papa Jazz

What’s the first album you remember loving as a kid?

I had a few CDs on heavy rotation in my very early teens. Sugar Ray’s 14:59, Fatboy Slim’s You’ve Come A Long Way Baby, and Spin Doctors’ Pocket Full of Kryptonite.

What was the first album you bought with your own money?

Is This It by The Strokes

What was the first local band that caught your ear?

I was lucky enough to have been around The Lower Room era in Florence, SC which definitely shaped me as an artist. Between ages 14 and 18 I got to see Steven Fiore, Sequoyah Prep School, Austin Crane, Firefly Summer, and even some touring bands like Anathallo – all of whom were amazing.

What’s the most recent album you bought or have been listening to lately?

The other day I bought a vinyl copy of The Kernal – LIGHT COUNTRY, which has been a favorite of mine since seeing them last year at Royal American.

Any other news or upcoming releases for 2019?

We have some big shows to be announced soon and a few new songs in the works as well! We’re going tropical.
