Dead Swells Live at Papa Jazz

What’s the first album you remember loving as a kid?

If I’m being honest, it was probably a Backstreet Boys or *NSYNC album probably.

What was the first local band you were a fan of?

One of the first local bands I saw was probably The Mobros. Been the biggest fan ever since. They’re too amazing.

What as the first album you bought with your own money?

First album I bought was Toxicity by System of a Down. Still love it!

What’s the most recent album you bought or have been listening to lately?

The album I’ve spent the most time listening to lately is probably “This Old Dog” by Mac Demarco. The new Toro album, too – wow!

Seeing as this is a triple release of albums recorded at Archer Avenue, how was it recording the new album there?

Nothing but great things to say about Archer Avenue. Great environment, awesome equipment, and Kenny is just the coolest guy to work with ever. Looking forward to doing more with him in the future.

We’ve collabed with @hunterbmedia on this exciting new “showzine” project where we team up with SC photographers and creators to document shows. Check out the video, the review (link in bio), along with photos from the show. There will be a few physical zines with additional photos out in the wild. Maybe at an indie book store or record store near you.
