Watch Katie Rose Live at Papa Jazz

What’s the first album you remember loving as a kid?

I remember loving Backstreet Boys and the soundtrack for Moulin Rouge. Also, (and don’t judge me) the first live action Scooby Doo movie? Let’s just say that CD was never taken out of my CD player.

What as the first album you bought with your own money?

That’s a tough one. It was probably Disney Classics or the live action Scooby Doo. I was a super cool kid.

What was the first local band you were a fan of?

Young Mister, Young Mister, and Young Mister.

What’s the most recent album you bought or have been listening to lately?

I’m constantly listening to the Young Mister album, any and all Billy Joel albums, and Dear Evan Hanson. Broadway will always have a piece of my heart.

What do you have in the works now? Any big shows, new music, or other news on the horizon?

I’m about to release a Live EP from the Jump Little Children tour! I’m super excited about that. Also, I’ll be playing a showcase for the New Music Confab at the Music Farm on September 1st. As for a new album…you’ll just have to wait and see.

We’ve collabed with @hunterbmedia on this exciting new “showzine” project where we team up with SC photographers and creators to document shows. Check out the video, the review (link in bio), along with photos from the show. There will be a few physical zines with additional photos out in the wild. Maybe at an indie book store or record store near you.
